I am trying to use a com to usb connector to read the text transmitions that com from a com port.  I am using a usb connector to talk to the comport.  Will USB monitor send the text to a fill in the network that can be read in the format that one will expect for a serial port.  If so how do you set up the software to read the com port.

Daniel, I suppose that there is virtual COM port created by com to usb connector. So, you can open that COM port by HyperTerminal to see the data.

USB Monitor Pro also shows the serial data but you will see headers also. So, I recommend you use any port monitoring software, like portmon.

Thanks!
