Losing connection but says connected

I have a Win 2003 r2 server and win 2003 r2 VMware server as the client. It has worked well for a few months, however the last 2 weeks it has been having issues. The client and the server see everything as connected but the program that requires a license dongle isnt seeing it. I have to click on disconnect and connect and everything works again. This is happening about every 2 days. I also upgraded to the newest version 2 days ago and the issue arised again today. any ideas?

We'd like to offer you the remote debugging. We need you to do the following:
1. Share the dongle and inform us about the public IP and tcp port number so we can connect the shared dongle using USB over Network Client.  
2. The dongle's drivers (if you have any).
3. The software where the dongle is required so we could reproduce the normal performance of the dongle.
