Redirecting USB Devices Manually

USB for Remote Desktop (Workstation) allows to redirect USB devices into remote desktop session making them available for remote users.

IMPORTANT! Only USB devices with correctly installed drivers can be redirected manually. If there is no driver insatalled for the device, it's still possible to redirect the device automatically.

Redirect USB Device

Select USB device you want to redirect and click Redirect USB Device button.

From now, as soon as used opens remote desktop session, the redirected devices appears on the remote PC.

IMPORTANT! Redirected USB devices are inaccessible for the local use. Especially be careful sharing the keyboard or mouse because you can lock the computer in this way! If you accidentally lock the computer, you can whether connect another keyboard/mouse or reboot the system in Safe Mode to uninstall the program.

Stop USB Device Redirecting

If you want to make the device available for local using again you have to stop USB device redirecting.

So, choose the device and click Unredirect USB Device button.

NOTE: If user disconnects remote Windows session, all redirected USB devices will be autimatically disconnected.

USB Device Statuses

icon USB device is not ready for redirecting.
icon USB device is ready for redirecting but not connected to Remote Desktop Session.
icon USB device is already connected to Remote Desktop Session.
icon USB device is not ready for redirecting but currently is not plugged in.
icon USB device is not redirected correctly.
