Using virtual desktops can be of priority but here one can face specific problems.
FabulaTech's revolutionary solution can't be better than this.
USB devices connected to a host PC become visible from guest OS in virtual machine.
If you access remote virtual machine via RDP or Citrix ICA, pleas refer to "USB for Remote Desktop".
The solution comprises two parts: Server and Client. Server side installs on the PC which USB devices are plugged in. Server side makes USB devices available over network.
Client side installs on guest operating system (virtual machine). Client application allows connecting remote shared USB device.
